Software Training
Researchers may also have a need to familiarize themselves with new computer software products. Basic training of both major operating systems and computational chemistry software products are available at the Computer Center via formal training workshops as well as informal sessions.
Last summer, Hieu Tran (tran at chem.wisc.edu) led the following Training Classes:
- Introduction to Red Hat Linux
- Parallel Ab Initio Computing with Gaussian 03 and GaussView

Upcoming Summer Training Workshop
Hieu Tran (tran at chem.wisc.edu) will be leading a training workshop from August 1-3. The workshop, "Ab Initio Computing with Gaussian in Linux Environment", will consist of two parts: Part 1: Intro to Red Hat Linux for Windows, Mac OS and Linux newbies, and Part 2: Ab Initio Computing with Gaussian in Linux Environment.
