1. ssh to mail.chem.wisc.edu server and open Pine
2. Go to SETUP
3. Go to Rules. Type of rule setup: Filters
4. Add a rule. Change the name of the rule to Spam Assassin
5. Add extra headers.
6. Enter X-Spam-Score. Add the desired number of asterisks.
Please Note: Messages that contain a large number of asterisks in their headers are classified by X-Spam-Score to be spam. The greater the number of asterisks, the more likely the message is spam.
Some messages that are spam may be labeled as non-spam and vice versa. If this happens, the number of asterisks in this section can be increased or decreased based on your preferences.
7. Move down to Filter action. Select Move to a folder. Name the folder Junk
8. Exit Setup. Your email will now be filtered for spam. Junk mail will be placed in the Junk folder.
