Filtering Spam: Eudora

This page contains instruction on how to set the Eudora email client to filter your chemistry department email for spam.

Instructions

1. Start Eudora. In the menu, click Tools then Filters

Tools menu, then Filters

2. Click New

Please Note: Messages that contain a large number of asterisks in their headers are classified by X-Spam-Score to be spam. The greater the number of asterisks, the more likely the message is spam.

Some messages that are spam may be labeled as non-spam and vice versa. If this happens, the number of asterisks in this section can be increased or decreased based on your preferences.

3. Your email will now be filtered for spam. Junk mail will be placed in the Junk folder.
