To make sure you are using the correct incoming mail server
address for the Chemistry Department (mail.chem.wisc.edu),
please select the client you use above and follow the directions.
On the Eudora menu bar select Tools --> Options...

Under "Getting Started," verify "Mail Server (Incoming):" reads "mail.chem.wisc.edu". If it does not, modify it so it does and press "OK."

On the Mozilla Thunderbird menu bar select Tools --> Account Settings...
*Note* Newer versions of Mozilla Thunderbird may have this located under Edit --> Account Settings...

Select "Server Settings" under your Chemistry e-mail account and verify "Server Name:" reads "mail.chem.wisc.edu". If it does not, modify it so it does and click "OK."

On the Outlook menu bar select Tools --> E-mail Accounts...

Under "Server Information," verify "Incoming mail server" reads
"mail.chem.wisc.edu". If it does not, modify it so it does
and press
"Next >".

On the Outlook Express menu bar select Tools --> Accounts...

Select your Chemistry e-mail account and click properties.

Make sure "Incoming mail (POP3):" reads "mail.chem.wisc.edu". If it does not, modify it so it does and press "OK."

On the Eudora menu bar select Special --> Settings...

Under "Getting Started," verify "Mail Server (Incoming):" reads "mail.chem.wisc.edu". If it does not, modify it so it does and press "OK."

On the Mozilla Thunderbird menu bar select Tools --> Account Settings...
*Note* Newer versions of Mozilla Thunderbird may have this located under Edit --> Account Settings...

Select "Server Settings" under your Chemistry e-mail account and verify "Server Name:" reads "mail.chem.wisc.edu". If it does not, modify it so it does and click "OK."

On the Mail.app menu bar select Mail --> Preferences...

Under "Accounts," select your Chemistry e-mail account and verify "Incoming Mail Server" reads "mail.chem.wisc.edu". If it does not, modify it so it does.
