Configuring Your Client: Eudora for Mac
This page contains instruction on how to setup the Eudora email client to check your chemistry department email from within the Chemistry Building.

Instructions
1. Start Eudora. In the menu, click Special and then Settings…
2. In the Getting Started Category
- Under Checking Mail, enter your Chemistry Email User Name
- Also, enter the mail.chem.wisc.edu as the mail server.
- Under Sending Mail, enter your Real Name and smtp.chem.wisc.edu as the outgoing (SMTP) server.
- Finally make sure to enter your Chemistry Email Address.
3. Select the Checking Mail Category.
- Check Mail Protocol: IMAP.
4. Select the Sending Mail Category.
- Make sure that Use submission port (587) is checked and the Email Address and SMTP Server fields are correct.
5. Scroll down and select the SSL catagory.
- Under SSL for SMTP: select Required (TLS)
- Under SSL for IMAP: select Required (Alternate Port)
- Click OK to finish. Eudora is now configured for sending/recieving Email.
